Security FAQ

Security FAQ: the questions IT and procurement actually ask.

Written to be lifted straight into your vendor security assessment, copy any answer as-is.

Architecture

No, LAN only. A server app runs on an always-on Windows PC and routes alerts to clients on your network.

Default TCP 8001 client↔server (configurable); outbound HTTPS from the server only.

No. Client to server traffic stays on your LAN, on a port you choose (default TCP 8001). Only the server talks to our cloud, and that traffic is encrypted in transit with TLS.

By default, no, only the server does. If you switch on client chat notifications, those clients also post to the chat service you configure.

Every button turns grey and auto-reconnects, a visible failure, not a silent one.

Data

Licensing data plus reporting records: timestamps, workstation identity, alert states and notification outcomes.

Duress Alert has no patient or case fields. It records who raised an alert, from which computer, and when.

Australia, with other regions coming.

While you are a customer. Deleted on request.

Your admins, via the portal.

Integrity & operations

An administrator can lock presentation, sound, startup, tray and escalation settings from the server, and unlock them in an emergency. Policy payloads are signed.

Server-managed packages; clients follow.

Auto-renews by card by default, and the server flags an approaching expiry in its licence status. If it does expire, alerting stops and every client turns grey until renewal.

It configures rules where permitted and reports status either way.

Certifications & assurance

We publish our architecture and data flows in full, so your IT team can assess the product directly against your own controls. Request the technical pack: architecture diagram, data-flow document, network requirements and this FAQ.
